Coffee Grinder Review / Review of Coffee Grinders

In an earlier blog post we mentioned coffee storage and also the fact that for freshness it is always better to buy whole bean coffee as opposed to already ground.

In order to use whole beans to make coffee you need to grind them (of course). A grinder is an often overlooked purchase but can make a huge difference to the final cup of coffee. So which coffee grinders are best?

I put my daughter on the case (mainly to keep her busy during lock-down) and she produced the below YouTube video on the topic. Below the video I give my top 3 coffee grinder recommendations.

Wasn’t that a great video (I’m biased of course)?

Here are my top 3 tips for coffee grinders (with the Amazon links to purchase). I love Burr grinders as they don’t heat up like blade grinders and affect the beans:

  1. Budget Buy – Hario Transparent Hand Coffee Grinder – £34.95 on Amazon
  2. The Arty / Aesthetically Pleasing Model – Rok Grinder GC Hand Coffee Grinder – £159 on Amazon
  3. The Wish List Model – Sage Smart Grinder Pro – £199 on Amazon
