How to get Rid of Arsenic in Your Rice

I read a great article today on the levels of arsenic in rice which can be worryingly high.

This statement from the World Health Organization sums up the effects of arsenic on the human body:

Long-term exposure to arsenic from drinking-water and food can cause cancer and skin lesions. It has also been associated with cardiovascular disease and diabetes. In utero and early childhood exposure has been linked to negative impacts on cognitive development and increased deaths in young adults.

As stated – one of the main culprits in our food chain for arsenic exposure is rice. If you eat rice regularly – the below article will help to drastically reduce your exposure levels via rice preparation and cooking methods:
